Scrapbook Soup Scoop 2 - Packing Up

I started to write "packing for the shoot", but thought better of using those two words in the same sentence - they might raise a flag in certain circles - oops.  Packing for a week long shoot isn't an easy task.  It starts by putting all the supplies used to make the projects into a box and gathering all the other samples I need for the shows.

Step 2 is to find boxes that fit in my suitcase and pack them as full as possible.

When this suitcase is packed, my craft room starts to look almost tidy again.  (It's never really tidy - too much stuff hence the boxes under the tables.....)

The next big task is to haul the suitcase downstairs - for the rest!  Did I mention that I tend to take over most large surfaces in the house when I'm prepping for a shoot?  We won't even talk about the utility room.

Everything on the table has to be packed up too then at least one suitcase will be ready to go.  Anything that doesn't fit heads to the bathroom to be packed in my large garment bag.  Luckily, I don't need a lot of clothes for this trip.  The last thing left on the table is the checklist.

Two 50lb bags and a roller bag for the laptop, camera and more supplies and I'm ready for the airport. Not a bad job for Friday the 13th.  I left on the 14th with warnings of tornadoes looming for the Fort Worth area.  Luckily not due to arrive till later in the day - long after I left.

I'll continue to post photos here, but you can follow me on Twitter at ScrapbookSoup for on the spot reports.  Enjoy!  Y'all come back now.......

Yours truly,
Julie :)
