h+h Americas - Chicago 2026

Other than the fact that we arrived  on Taco Tuesday, Cinco de Mayo and my birthday, all rolled into one, this is a great show for creatives who love to work with yarn and fabric! A must visit for those of you who quilt, knit, crochet, sew and more! Embroidery is definitely popular and there were countless exhibitors offering needle punches......  remember what a fun technique that was for Raggedy Ann and Andy's hair and still is for Santa's beard!

h+h is a German show which has been around for many years. Jean (Kievlan) and I demoed there for Accu Cut in 2000, 2001 & 2002. It may not be quite as big as it was back then, probably due to the growth of Creative World in Frankfurt, but over here in the US it's growing in leaps and bounds and they have now established a fall show in Houston.

Here’s a few photos to give you an idea of what you’ll see there  Enjoy!

The trade show was preceded this year by a consumer show over the weekend. Ann (Butler) and I were only there for the trade show, but we heard it was great!

The first day of the trade show ended with a fashion show. There were some amazing designs presented by exhibiting companies, but the ones that stood out amongst them all were designed by Jane Claus who offered the best clothing ideas created from clothing easily found in your own closet!  Take a look!

The skirt used to be a pair of men's baseball pants!

Formerly ? pairs of denim jeans!

Upcylced plaid shirts!

Skirt made from Chicago Bears T-shirts...

Need something to wear?  Check your closet and "make it new".........

Hope you enjoyed this quick look at h+h.  Come back in a couple of days for a walk down the aisles of NAMTA Creativation 2026 in St.Louis, MO.

Yours Truly,
Julie 💝

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON CRAFTING!
