The kids go back to school in another 2-3 or weeks, so pretty much everyone is having a "Back to School" sale! Not just clothes and shoes, but school supplies: markers, paper, folders, etc, etc. Even if you don't need school supplies for school, this is a great time to stock up on journals, markers, paper and a whole lot more! I saw that Staples is advertising composition books at .50 cents each - time to stock up I'd say.
Don't forget that "school supplies" are also craft supplies. You can definitely make "school" type projects with them, but there's a bunch of other things you can use them for too. Markers for doodling is an obvious choice, but I personally love the brightly colored glossy folders around .30 cents each. That's like getting two sheets of glossy card stock which sells for a heck of a lot more in the craft store. I usually stock up on 2 or 3 of each color and there are patterned folders too. I used them last year to make tags and a small banner for a smash cake. The note cards and popcorn boxes were also on sale. Ten for a $1.00........ One can't help being creative with this stuff!
I couldn't resist the large boxes of crayons either and used them to cover cardboard "Velveeta" boxes, the bottom of a milk carton and a couple of empty cans - colorful storage options for my grandson's desk.
Don't let this sale pass you by.... you only have to walk into a big box store (Staples, Walmart, Office Depot, Container Store, etc) and you'll wonder why you haven't shopped for craft supplies there before. You can also find great deals on adhesive sheets of paper and/or labels for printing your own stickers; magnetic sheets for fridge frames - the list goes on and on. Enjoy! Y'all come back now.........
Yours truly,
Julie :)
