Julie FF designed our first project specifically for those of you who may be "doodle challenged". She has some great ideas to share to get you started.
Stacey Caron from Spellbinders joins us next to show us their new line of "Cut, Fold & Tuck" dies. Check out how easy it is to create these layered and dimensional embellishments.
An eco-friendly double page spread is next with Julie FF. You'll be surprised how easy it is create and it's a great project for the kids in your family. Be prepared to get messy with us!
You may remember Rachel Carlson from an earlier show. For this segment we gathered up all our leftovers to make cards. BTW, if Rachel seems familiar, you may also have caught sight of her on the popular TV show Grimm where she plays an intrepid "detective".
This week's journal was sent to us by Tara Noel. Another great example of journaling our daily lives, special trips and events. You can find more information here on her blog: http://taranoel.typepa

LOVE the look of the doodled LO- the colored stenciled doodle and the stamped deli paper look great. Tara's journal is amazing- who needs a SMASH book, particularly when they're not waterproof which in this case, must have been handy.
ReplyDeleteGreat show ladies. Love the little journal. My favorite is the doodling layout. I never thought to use a template. What a great idea! Thank you! The ideas are endless!
ReplyDeleteI am another fan of the doodle.I hope to do some smashing some day after my Christmas cards are done. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite segment is the doddle challenged portion. I love Julie's templates and find them really easy to use and versatile. Scrapbook Soup makes my week. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoy the show! Thanks for watching :)
DeleteMy FAVORITE was seeing the tuck-n-fold dies used & how great the look layered! My second favorite was the doodled page...I especially liked that she colored some & left some "black & white" -- nice effect! :) ALL great projects, though! And I LOVE Becky Fleck's Page Maps...found them first at my public library & fell in love immediately! :)
ReplyDeleteI so loved the book with the paint. It lets you be so creative which sometimes we don't always find time to do in our srapbooking. I would love to do one of these books as a daily journal or an art journal to display all thsoe wonderful pictures my kids made me so many years ago. So many possibilities. Thanks for the tutorials and the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. I always leave the studio with "leftovers" for giveaways for our viewers. I hope to have something each week thru the end of this series, so keep checking :)
DeleteI always love learning from Julie FF! My favorite was the layout using the template - love, LOVE the way she only colored in some of her doodles because it gave the whole page a nice focal point. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI love the doodled page! I've recently started an art journal and have tried a wee bit of doodling and really enjoy it. Thank you for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI love the doodled page! I recently started doodling in my Art Journal and am really enjoying it. Thank you for the chance to win this awesome prize!
ReplyDeleteI love Julie's doodle page. I have lots of patterned paper that I don't use because the colors are not what I want. This stencil idea is great because I can choose the pattern and the colors. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI liked seeing their ideas for using scraps for cards. I admit I save every little piece, but usually don't think to use any of them. Cards are perfect for using up the scraps. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteWELL I guess I M different I don't Like the doodling to much work for me..I am a stamper..Sorry!!! Where is Beth???? I love the PageMaps 1 and 2..Who ever wins will LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteBeth is home, being a mom to her children now 6 and 8, but you can catch her on the Wilton show, Bake, Decorate, Celebrate. I miss her too....
DeleteI just LOVE seeing all 2 crafting...♥♥♥
DeleteDoodling is great fun as well as being very relaxing. I remember doodling all over my jotters at school in the 60's! And, my hubby doodles while he's on the phone! It has become quite an art form over the past few years. Check out some of the Zentangle books! They're amazing.....
ReplyDeleteI really love watching the show on-line. Just a wee bit disappointed, that, living in New Zealand, I'm not eligible for the prize! Never mind - good luck to all you crafters out there!
ReplyDeleteGreat show. I had forgotten that I can watch the shows on-line. My fave is the Fold-n-Tuck dies. I have MANY Spellbinders dies, but I don't have any of the Fold-n-Tucks, I'll have to change that. I also like the doodling. I'm not much of doodler, I guess I'll have to change that as well.
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS! You now own Page Maps 2 and the dies! Please e-mail me your address and it will be its way! julie@juliemcguffee.com
